275: Classical Guitar (Any Age)
Tentative Date & Venue: Sunday 29 July (Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College)
Unaccompanied. Test: One or more items of contrasting nature of own choice. Total Performance Time of up to 10 minutes, which includes time taken between items. Last year’s winner not eligible.
1st: $750. 2nd: $300. 3rd: $100.
Sponsored by the Classical Guitar Society, Sydney.
The winner also receives a performance opportunity with the Society.

276: Classical Guitar (18 & Under)
Tentative Date & Venue: Sunday 29 July
Unaccompanied. Test: One or more items of contrasting nature of own choice. Last year’s winner not eligible.
Winner 11-15 years MAY qualify for Event 214 – see event conditions.
1st: $500. 2nd: $250. 3rd: $150. Sponsored by Anthony & Sharon Lee.

277: Classical Guitar (15 & under)
Tentative Date & Venue: Sunday 29 July
Unaccompanied. Test: One or more items of own choice. Total Performance Time of up
to 8 minutes, which includes time taken between items. Last year’s winner not eligible. If insufficient entries in either Events 277 or 278, these will combine.
Winner 11 -15 years MAY qualify for Event 214 – see event conditions.
1st: $150. 2nd: $100. 3rd: $50.

Tentative Date & Venue: Sunday 29 July
For the Leslie Andrews Memorial Awards
Unaccompanied. Test: One or more items of own choice. Total Performance Time of up to 6 minutes, which includes time taken between items. Last year’s Winner not eligible. If insufficient entries in either Events 277 or 278, these will combine.
Winner 11 – 12 years MAY qualify for Event 214 – see event conditions
1st: $150. 2nd: $100. 3rd: $50.

What’s On This Month

Our next monthly meeting will be held on Saturday 3rd March 2018 at 2pm – at our regular venue – Crows Nest Uniting Church Hall,cnr Shirley Rd and Nicholson St, Wollstonecraft. There will be a playing list so please bring your guitar and your best-prepared work.  Please try to keep performances down to 5 minutes as a courtesy to others and so that everybody gets a go.

The next CGS monthly radio broadcast will be presented live to air on Saturday 17th February 2018 at 6.00 pm on Fine Music 102.5 FM.
